The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA will be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the significant number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company stage designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this here reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to help the servicing of all prospects and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
